So, after our amazing wedding, we find ourselves on the first leg of our tour across America in Boston. We set off this morning at 5.30am to be at the airport for 6am. Paul's Nan and brother came to wave us off. Upon arrival at the airport we were able to jump the queue and were checked right in (thanks Krysta's Mom!). After a full English breakfast we made our way to the departures and said our bye to Matt and June.
When we took our seats on the plane we found that we were over the wing which comes with loads of extra leg room! The flight was quite uneventful except they forgot to charge us for Catherine's flying buddy (Gin!) - no repeat of our last flight to New York this time (Hello Jenny!). After arriving in New York we transferred to Boston - we had to recheck our bags and I found that I had lost my Ryan badge :-(
For those that do not know my rucksack is called Ryan from the OC and Cath's rucksack is called Britney (and they both had badges of their namesakes on).
The flight to Boston was very quick (38 mins) and we then got the bus and tube to our hotel (The Copley Square Hotel) which cost us the grand sum of $2 each!
After checking in we decided to go and eat at the bar where the exterior of the TV show Cheers was filmed - we had potato skins for starters and Cath had a burger and I had a Chicken panini for mains - All washed down with a couple of Sam Adams lagers (which we got 'carded' for!). After that we had a little stroll round then got a taxi back to the hotel ready to go to bed as we have been up for 22 hours!
We first stopped off at a supermarket to buy some cereal for breakfast in the morning and some plastic plates - we really are living the dream!
