Austin - Day 30

Arrived in Austin at about 9.00am and got a taxi to our plush hotel. It was too early to check into our room (they did offer us a smoking room but it failed Catherine's inspection) so we sat in reception and Paul surfed the net and Catherine read.

I think they speeded up cleaning our room because we looked at bit out of place in the posh reception with our backpack and looking like we hadn't washed that day. The lady behind the counter even suggested we sat in the corner of reception under the stairs - we can take a hint. There were lots of crickets around and some even made their way into the hotels reception!

By 11.00 am we were in a non smoking room and we went straight to bed and slept till about 4.00pm. Then we ordered room service and had dinner and watched TV. Travelling is tiring.
